Take Your Web Site to New Levels

Harness the power of the Internet to create a powerful, income generating system.

Hi. My name is Ward Cameron and I've spent the last two years developing a system for combining the ease of Microsoft FrontPage with the power of Microsoft Access. I've developed a system for turning static web pages into interactive experiences.

I'm not a programmer. I began just like you, struggling to integrate Microsoft Access databases with the Internet. Unfortunately, there there was no single place focused on teaching non-programmers how to make their sites more interactive.

My first FrontPage database was www.MountainNature.com. This online guide to more than 800 plants, animals and birds was an enormous undertaking, especially for someone that knew absolutely nothing about integrating FrontPage with Access.

I searched through thousands of sites that offered thousands of lines of ASP code, most of which I had no idea how to implement.

I posted hundreds of messages on FrontPage focused discussion forums. Again, I often received long lines of code, but I also managed to find a few gems.

I found hundreds of FrontPage add-ons, simple programs that add functionality and features to FrontPage. The web is full of programmers that have created fabulous plug-ins and add-ons to help you add that extra bit of web magic.

Gradually, I learned simple techniques to do complex tasks. I learned how to leverage my extensive research and create custom solutions to difficult problems.

MountainNature.com was selected by Microsoft to be profiled for thousands of web designers in their FrontPage Bulletin Newsletter. It has won numerous national awards, including being selected as the best site in Canada for teaching about nature and culture. It now receives some 400,000 page views per year and is growing daily.

The struggle to make MountainNature.com the best site of its kind forced me to learn the basics. Now, I want to help you shorten your struggle to create a little FrontPage magic on your site.

Are you struggling to create a web site, market it, get it listed on search engines? The list is as endless as the learning curve. The amazing thing to remember is that...

...You're not alone!

You may have had a huge project thrust upon you by your manager, and been left to struggle on your own. You may just want to leverage your existing data by providing online access to your product catalog, etc.

Ward Cameron Enterprises is developing this system of tutorials to assist you. They are part of an online training course being developed that will provide a one-stop shopping area for FrontPage and Access tips. Check out our current tutorials and let us know what you think.

10 Reasons to Put Your Data Online
  1. Today, everything revolves around data. This is your companies most valuable asset. The more data you control, the larger your advantage over your competitors.

  2. Almost everything can be stored in a database. This can include (as in my case) details on plants and animals, customer data, product information, frequently asked questions, customer support information...the list is endless.

  3. By placing information into a database, you can create multiple ways for your customers to locate the information. Don't make them work the way you think they should. Let your customers find the data in the way most intuitive to them.

  4. The tools are now available to make it easy for you to put your data online. With products like FrontPage and Access, you are in the driver's seat.

  5. You don't need to be a programmer. You don't even need a pocket protector :-) All you need is to take the time to develop the features that are already a part of existing programs.

  6. Provide better service to your customers. Putting your databases online allows your customers to interact with your company in new and exciting ways. You can put them in the driver's seat and build a new collaborative business relationship. Let's see your competitors compete against that!

  7. You can create a better system for staying in touch with your customers. Through a powerful combination of databases and autoresponders, you can create a customized plan for staying in touch, adding value to your customer relationship, and even providing online training.

  8. You can administer your site from any Internet connection. You're not always sitting at your desk. With the powerful combination of FrontPage and Access, you can learn to administer your site through the use of online forms.

  9. There are literally thousands of add-on tools that can help you make up for a lack of programming expertise. Don't reinvent the wheel. If a few dollars will save you hundreds of hours, it is money well spent. We'll help you wade through all the options and make the best ones available right here.

  10. You will have to do it sooner or later. Why not tackle it now and stay ahead of your competitors.

5 Reasons to use FrontPage
  1. There are many different web design programs on the market. Some are cheaper. Some are fancier. FrontPage is the most widely used web design program on the market.

  2. FrontPage lets you focus on your website rather than learning how to produce HTML code.

  3. You can always find someone familiar with FrontPage to assist you.

  4. FrontPage gives you simple tools that can speed your learning curve from novice to productive.

  5. FrontPage is secure, stable and helps you create a database driven site with a minimum of fuss.

5 Reasons to use Microsoft Access
  1. You may already have it. Access is part of Microsoft Office and so may already be installed on your computer.

  2. Access allows you to design powerful data access queries.

  3. Access and FrontPage are part of the same Office Suite. They share menu structures and reduces your learning curve.

  4. FrontPage can automatically create an Access database for you. You will want your own copy to be able to make the most of the partnership between these programs.

  5. Access can be upsized to Microsoft SQL Server when (or more likely if) you want to step up to a more robust database system.
